Installation Instructions
Select your operating system to view instructions.
Follow the instructions below if you're struggling to install CheatBreaker on Windows:
- Click on the Windows download button above to download the installer.
- Run the downloaded CheatBreaker-Setup.exe file.
- Note: You may get a warning from Windows Defender the first time you open the installer. This warning is completely normal as we aren't signing our installers (the cost of code signing certificates isn't feasible for free projects).
- To dismiss the warning, simply click on More info and then on Run anyway.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Follow the instructions below if you're struggling to install CheatBreaker on macOS:
- Click on the macOS download button above to download the zip file.
- Extract the downloaded zip file (if Safari hasn't already done it for you).
- Drag the CheatBreaker app into your Applications folder.
- Note: When you first open the app, macOS may warn you that it's from an "unidentified developer".
- To open it, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the CheatBreaker warning.
Follow the instructions below if you're struggling to install CheatBreaker on Linux:
- Click on the Linux download button above and choose AMD64 or ARM64 depending on your CPU.
- Note: Some Ubuntu versions may require libfuse2 to be installed manually to run AppImages.
sudo apt install libfuse2
- Full installation (recommended): Installing with an AppImage integration tool creates a proper shortcut in your application launcher and is required for Connect with CheatBreaker (deep links) to work.
- Install Gear Lever from Flathub. It works on both traditional and immutable/atomic distros like Bazzite.
- Open the downloaded AppImage with Gear Lever to install and integrate it.
Alternative: On traditional distros, you can instead use AppImageLauncher the same way.
- Portable installation: This method is not recommended but is still supported.
- Make the AppImage executable:
chmod +x CheatBreaker-linux.AppImage
- Run the AppImage:
./CheatBreaker-linux.AppImage
- Make the AppImage executable:
- The launcher should now open successfully!
